Waitlists

Waitlists help manage interest in your event, offering a manual selection by the organiser for notifying about new spaces or an automated "Express Interest" feature for instant notifications when spaces open up.

In this guide, we will explore:

  • How to set up your waitlist
  • How to see and manage your waitlist

This guide shows how someone adds themself to the waitlist.

How to use Waitlists: a step-by-step guide

Setting up the waitlist

  • Medtribe automatically defaults to the "Express Interest" function
    • Express interest: when a space becomes available, all on the list get notified of the space at the same time
  • The organiser can choose to set the waitlist to manual
    • Manual Waitlist: the organiser chooses who to notify of a space becoming available
    • To set this you have to adjust your ticket
    • This can be done in the "Tickets" tab or the "Sessions"

Booking deadlines

    • Ensure booking deadlines haven’t passed so notified individuals can still make their bookings.
    • This is done within the "Sessions" tab

Seeing who is on the waitlist

  • Go to the "Attendees" tab

  • You can see who is on the list
    • If on "Manual Waitlist" you can notify users when there is a space available
    • If on "Express Interest" they will automatically be notified of a space
    • You are also able to export the waitlist as a CSV by clicking "Export"

Conclusion

Waitlists efficiently manage event interest, allowing organisers to manually notify about new spaces or use the "Express Interest" option for automatic alerts.
